			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, obviously it has been way too long!  FFC finished, well, obviously!  I still have some strain in my abs but am continuing my cardio and well, now need to make sure and watch how I eat after going on a cruise!  Oh yes, we had a GREAT week get away, my hubby and I with some very dear friends of ours!  Let&#8217;s just say this cruise was so much different than last year!   We went on one right before I started FFC so you can say I was much more comfortable this cruise &#8211; lol!</p>
<p>So FFC truly has finished the program has been restructured quite a bit and is now called Legacy for a Cause.  I am super bummed to say I don&#8217;t have anything to do with it other than cheer on a few friends that are competing this time. But I do realize that seasons come and seasons go in life&#8230; I know that I will always continue in this new lifestyle and who knows what doors God can open to help others in the same area in the future.</p>
<p>Thank you so much for your support, cheers, tears, and jabs &#8211; hahahaha!</p>
<p>I will try to remember to stay up to date on here and let you know what is going on but you can always look me up on facebook too!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>O.k. so how crazy is this!  Monday night I jogged 3 miles &#8211; with steps and burpees in between &#8211; tonight I jogged 3 miles straight and then did another mile after steps and burpees in between!  4 miles!  I can remember the first time I tried jogging half a mile and truly thought I was going to fall over dead - no joke &#8211; and now&#8230; wow!  I am so excited!  Do I love to run &#8211; no, but I love knowing I accomplished it and can continue doing it! </p>
<p>I have been researching 5K&#8217;s in the area and have found some and plan on signing up &#8211; crazy &#8211; I know!  I loved walking the 12K after the first FFC1 was done so I thought I might as well attempt a 5K, thinking I would run as long as I could and then walk &#8211; but tonight I proved that I can actually do the whole thing!  So yeah&#8230; that is a new adventure for me.  I am hoping to have some fellow FFC contestants that will join me though as it is much more fun with friends!</p>
<p>So I lost one point something pounds tonight &#8211; not thrilled but ya know what I am just so happy and blessed to be where I am in weight and mostly in my ability to workout and accomplish things that were long ago far off dreams.</p>
<p>Well, I am off to take a shower and get rid of the stink and go to sleep!  So good night!</p>

O.k. so I have to apologize as things have been crazy and as you can tell I have not blogged in a while!  But here I am, on a cloudy Friday morning trying to get motivated without a cup of coffee&#8230; can I succeed, that is the question at the moment? </p>
<p>So last week I didn&#8217;t make it to the weigh-in due to the fact that my husband did not get home from the dentist till 6:45pm and weigh-in is at 6:30pm and I really didn&#8217;t want to get to the gym only to work out for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes so I stayed home with the family. </p>
<p>Life truly has been full lately and I must say my &#8216;extra&#8217; workouts have not been happening above and beyond the gym except maybe once a week.  Yes, that is how crazy/motivated me lost so much weight in FFC1 was doing the extra workouts as well as being very diligent to watch what I eat.  So am I losing&#8230; well, I was averaging about 1 pound a week this round &#8211; which I am happy with &#8211; however, after last nights weigh in&#8230; well, let&#8217;s just say Mike and Scott (our trainers) wanted to run me into the ground and I was soooo looking forward to it!</p>
<p>The workouts have been switched up a bit at the gym lately, where we are focusing on team &#8211; which is GREAT but at the same time there have been a couple times that I didn&#8217;t even break a sweat and for those of you that know me that is definitely not normal.  But it was fun to stick together, cheer eachother on, etc, however, my normal calorie burn was decreased by quite a bit and like I said I didn&#8217;t make up for it on my own.  And I will admit I haven&#8217;t been as good with my calorie watching lately either&#8230; O.k. so I am rambling I know &#8211; I am good at that at times.  So yeah&#8230; I was &#8220;SAFE&#8221; last night but between me and well, all of you that read this &#8211; I was far from SAFE &#8211; I actually had gained &#8211; so yes, last night thrilled me to the core to have a HARD, In my face, kick my bootie, type of workout.  Sorry to all of you that didn&#8217;t like it but I loved it!  Mike had asked at the end who wanted to keep going and of course I raised my hand &#8211; but the catch was I guess we were all supposed to raise our hands cause then he made us go on until others had to lie and say they wanted more&#8230; but I must say I really did.  I am sore today &#8211; first time in a long time and it feels good.  Am I strange?  I love pain or something&#8230; what is up with me? </p>
<p>Well, enough of my boring thoughts for today&#8230; I am making coffee &#8211; there is the answer to the first question!  I have attached a couple photos for you to get a good laugh!</p>

<p>We went back to working out inside again &#8211; rain is here and hopefully will go away for tomorrow&#8217;s Rally For a Cause Parade and Car Show!  Yes, tomorrow is the BIG day for the fundraising event for Fit for a Cause &#8211; for more information check out the ffc blog at <a href="http://www.ffc2.wordpress.com">www.ffc2.wordpress.com</a>!  The parade is open to everyone!  That is right it doesn&#8217;t matter what kind of car or motorcycle you have (I will be in a minivan!) - any one can join as the purpose of the parade is to show our support for our community!  We are asking for $20 donation per car and motorcycle that will go to support the 75 year tradition of the Daffodil Festival and for non perishable food donations that will go to the Emergency food Network!  That&#8217;s right grab some canned goods and $20 and line up with everyone else to be police escorted to Cheney Stadium where the donations will be collected!  Check out the blog or <a href="http://www.ffclegacy.com">www.ffclegacy.com</a> under fundraisers for the times and locations.  Hope to see you all there!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Monday night and again tonight (Wednesday) our workouts were held at Bradley Lake Part in Puyallup.  We had the big exercise balls and the trainers marked off areas with cones where we played soccer.  I must say it was fun but yet scary!  Tom from the black team would make each of us back pedal and take cover for our lives &#8211; man can he kick that ball &#8211; I named him &#8220;killer kicker&#8221;!  Then there is Kieran, he needs to learn not to mess with &#8216;mama&#8217;- yeah, tonight I was about to just tackle the guy and get him out of my way!  What ever happened to &#8220;ladies first&#8221; hahahaha!  Quite a workout and a little fun involved so the change of pace was nice then we ended both nights with running the full loop around the lake and back to our cars.  Tonight however, they closed the park early (7pm!) so we had to leave so we all went back to Callaway and did some cardio cause we all know what tomorrow is &#8211; yep, weigh in night!  I can&#8217;t believe there are six more, five after tomorrow!  Surely this season has gone alot faster than the last for me.  Hopefully I will get some fun photos from the workouts to show you&#8230; when I do I will post them on here.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, I am happy to say that last night at weigh in I lost 2. something pounds!  Yippeeee!  My goal for next week is 4 &#8211; so cheer me on as I need it!  The red team decided to be nice this week (lol) and give up the title as we did win three weeks in a row &#8211; but this week black team took it home!  Way to go ya all &#8211; but red is taking it back next week (smile!)</p>
<p>Now I am gearing up for a busy weekend!  So trying to plan my meals ahead of time so there is no &#8216;splurging&#8217; going on.  Tomorrow is our Rally for a Cause food drives!  As Experience Church we are holding one of the many food drives going on tomorrow at Safeway on 176th and Canyon &#8211; so if you are out and about stop by and say &#8220;hi&#8221; and donate some items to the food drive!  All the food will be taken in the parade next weekend where we will end up at Cheney Stadium and all the food will be unloaded and given to the Emergency Food Network who provides for over 70 Pierce County food banks!    Our goal as Experience Church is to fill up the 24 foot trailer we will be pulling in the parade with food!  Check out <a href="http://www.ffc2.wordpress.com">www.ffc2.wordpress.com</a> and <a href="http://www.ffclegacy.com">www.ffclegacy.com</a>for more information about the upcoming Rally for a Cause!  You will not want to miss this opportunity to be a part of such a huge fundraising effort as we work together for the community!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yes, tonight was a great workout!  We missed Scott, red team trainer tonight but Mike and Kayla made sure we didn&#8217;t slack!  We started off by doing a 1/2 mile on a treadmill or elliptical machine as fast as we could, then off to do 30 hip lifts, then 30 burpees, jog to the room and do thirty arm curls, and 30 arm lifts both with weights, then to kick and punch the bag 60 times each, and off to do another 1/2 mile and do it all again, except the third and fourth round was 1 mile on the machines and then followed by all the other activities!  I kinda wish we did the mile first as I jogged both 1/2 miles but by the time I got to do the mile I thought I might collapse so I walked and jogged as much as I could.  I weighed in at the end of workout and well the numbers hopefully are inaccurate as to what they will be tomorrow as it said I was a pound over &#8211; NO WAY!  So I will keep you posted after the weigh in tomorrow as the truth is revealed!</p>
<p>GREAT news!  I was able to do all the burpees tonight!  Of course I still don&#8217;t jump out so I am quite slow while doing them and cautious not to strain my abs &#8211; but yes, I am feeling so much better and am so thankful!  I was starting to fear that I wouldn&#8217;t be able to do a full work out this whole season but the road of recovery is in full blast and I know it won&#8217;t be long and there will be no twinge of pain anymore!  Praise God for answered prayer!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So last night I was back in the groove again!  I love seeing everyone&#8217;s determination and commitment to being at each workout, to giving it their all during the workout, to eatting right, and creating new habits!  We started out last night with a 30 minute step class with Glenda &#8211; oh yeah!  Alot of sweat dripping and bright red faces by us all!  It felt GREAT!  The first time we did this class it was the full hour, and yep, I thought I was going to pass out &#8211; I did even throw up that night &#8211; just what you wanted to know eh!  But everyone gave their all and did not give up or quit in the midst of the pain!  WAY TO GO!  I forgot what a wonderful workout it was and enjoyed doing that class again &#8211; I hope she comes back and does a full hour with us in the future!</p>
<p>Then off to run around the building &#8211; way to go Heath and Jeff on winning the free smoothies &#8211; you deserved it!  And then straight into carrying weights while walking in the parking lot, planks, squats, burpees, kicks and punching, and off to do it all again!  It was nice to see Nickie from Niks Piks Photography last night too!  I am sure the photos will show the hard work and fun!  I will post some as soon as I have them.</p>
<p>Also, for those of you that care &#8211; hahaha, that better be all of you!  Here is a photo of my wonderful family, support team, those that have endured mommy being gone for the first 12 weeks and now going on another 6 weeks!  I am so thankful for my loving husband and precious children!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>That is the question&#8230; sometimes I don&#8217;t know the answer to that &#8211; hahahaha!  Well, here is the update for last week:  Monday&#8217;s workout was new, different, and fun!  We went to Wildwood Park and worked out on a trail with different stations continuously until it was time to head home.  I really enjoyed this variety of exercise except for the lovely mosquito bites that I received from being in the trees without spray &#8211; the price to pay I guess!  There were certain stations I couldn&#8217;t do because of my abs but I just did more squats &#8211; yep, those babies better pay off!</p>
<p>Wednesday and Thursday I was unable to make it to workout &#8211; yes, first time ever in both fit for a cause competitions and I was truly bummed to not be there for my team but had family things come up that took priority.  However, with or without me &#8211; the red team ROCKS!  They won the weigh in again on Thursday (the third week in a row!) way to go RED!  I really love the support, the cheers, the encouragement, and the team feeling that Red has!  Love you guys!  I have heard that the other teams are the same as well, everyone not only enjoying FFC2 but working together as a team!  Accountability is a HUGE factor and having others going through this lifestyle change with you is an added bonus on making permanent changes!</p>
<p>Cheat days:  yep, I had some.  I never allowed those much last time but seem to at least once a week now &#8211; which I hear is o.k. however, the whole time I am thinking &#8220;oh, I need to work this off!&#8221;  But this weekend I was able to go the fair with my hubby and children and had a BLAST and I am so proud of all of you that went and didn&#8217;t even eat the fair food &#8211; way to go!  I can&#8217;t say that for myself&#8230; so I am hoping that it doesn&#8217;t make an impact on the scale when I weigh in this week &#8211; how do you enter that food on the body bugg?  I just estimated a million calories &#8211; lol!</p>
<p>Sunday I had the opportunity to work the Kidstown International booth at the fair and must say had quite the experience!  If you don&#8217;t know what Kidstown International is check out <a href="http://www.ffclegacy.com">www.ffclegacy.com</a> and look under fundraising.  This is one of the organizations FFC is raising money for &#8211; and it will go to the orphans in Romania, Nepal, and India!  Yes, my true heartbeat!  I must say though it was interesting as we were asking people to donate pocket change or to sponsor a child.  I had some wonderfully receptive, supportive, people who believe in helping children regardless of what country they live in.  And then the few that said &#8220;they don&#8217;t even like kids&#8221;.  How sad is that?  Oh, my heart truly was saddened and I have found myself praying for those that are so closed off and cynical towards such efforts.  I admit I used to question organizations and wonder where all the money &#8216;actually&#8217; goes.  The awesome thing about Kidstown is that 100% of the sponsorship money goes to the child you sponsor!  Now that is a HUGE deciding factor for me!  So check it out and possibly this is something you will feel prompted to hook up with and be a part of!</p>

		<title>6 more Pounds gone forever!</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>O.k. so I think I shocked everyone last night&#8230; including myself!  I weighed in and lost 6 pounds this week!  Oh, how I needed to see that after last week!  I have had my body bugg since Monday and I must say&#8230; I LOVE it&#8230; I am probably a little obsessed with it right now as I love to see how many calories I am burning!  Hey, I am burning calories just sitting here typing &#8211; too cool&#8230; but of course not enough to lose that kind of weight.  If you don&#8217;t know what a body bugg is &#8211; check it out at <a href="http://www.bodybugg.com/">http://www.bodybugg.com/</a></p>
<p>Then to top off the night I got to hold the trophy for the first time ever!  Yep, I took first place this week and the only time that happened before was the final weigh in last round and I had to leave before photos were taken to get to work on time.  The winner of each week recieves a half hour chair massage from Hannah Thayer with Family Fitness and Wellness!  Let me tell you what&#8230; I had one last night as I never recieved my massage from FFC1 and wowser &#8211; it felt GREAT!  Yes, I said wowser &#8211; lol!  Theresa Stull has helped me so much, she is a fellow rockin red team member, through this lovely injury of mine so I am going to give her my next weeks massage as I am sure she will love it after cleaning the church for me last night with Christa from the blue team and Shelley &#8211; a fan of FFC!  Thank you so much ladies!</p>
<p>Everyone had the joy of doing ZUMBA last night with blue team trainer Kayla leading!  I heard it was a blast and saw alot of sweat dripping!  I tried but all that shaking and twisting, well, I opted out since it had only been a day since reinjury and walked the treadmill but I did exceed my goal yesterday in calorie burning so that is good!  Now off to the weekend!  Everyone was challenged by Mike to atleast burn a deficit of 1000 calories a day so that they will see the results they are desiring each week on the scale.  And of course to watch our calorie intake and to stay in touch with our teams and everyone on off times &#8211; get together and go for hikes, bike rides, workout at Callaway, whatever but to have that accountability and someone else to help challenge and push us.  GREAT advice I must say!</p>
