So last night we showed up to Callaway ready for a grueling workout! When arriving there was a HUGE inflatable obstacle course out in the parking lot (right next to Meridian!) and guess what? Yep, it was for Fit for a Cause! How fun! To be a kid again and play – well, NOT – this was of course for us to burn calories, compete, run through continuously as fast as we could, diving, climbing, jumping, pushing, whatever, to just keep moving and get through it! You all were amazing! And I must say it was a blast watching even though I wish I was participating! A big thanks to Steve Pickel from Pickel’s Photography for running to keep up with everyone and taking photos!
I was the second in line to go – very excited and ready to burn calories! As Scott and Mike were betting how many I would burn – sorry to say they both lost. I dove through the hole at the start of the course and didn’t move any further. When doing that I completely re-injured my lower ab muscles again and honestly feel like I am back at square one if not worse. So after catching my breath again, getting help off the obstacle course, when the tears dried up, and the pain diminished thanks to Theresa and her ibuprofen, I got to stand on the side lines and watch everyone else do a GREAT job with this fun and exciting new workout! And yes, even some of the trainers, families (my hubby included) gave it a go! Scott is now called the Monkey as he is so fast you can barely keep up watching him – you rock!
So today my doctor took a look and yes, it is definitely strained and if doesn’t start to heal like last time then we would have to do xrays, etc. but all in all just seems like the same injury. He did give me a wrap to wear at least during exercise and of course told me to take it easy – which there is no way I could attempt a sit up or anything right now anyways, so no worries there! So a little ibuprofen will take the edge off and of course I am praying for a quick and complete recovery so I can get the snot beat out of me again by those wonderful trainers (hahahaha – we love you – no, really we do!)
